We blend the wonderful wine produced from the Vignoles (Ravat 51) grape with Chardonnay to give a wine with great citrus flavors and a mouth filling texture. Vignoles deserves more attention due to the quality of the wine it produces, however it is a shy bearing variety. Grown in northern Michigan it produces wines with a distinct grapefruit characteristic, in southern Michigan tropical fruits like pineapple predominate the aroma. Winemaking: Settled juice is cool fermented in oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. Partial malolactic fermentation occurs. Wines blended prior to cold stabilization. Bottled with a fairly dry finish. Alcohol 12&, TA 7-7.5gm/L, .8% residual sugar. Retail price $8.25 per bottle/$84.15 cs.
