This Chardonnay, complex and rich in flavor is a Tribute to our beloved father and husband Bruce Simpson. A quiet, kind, and humble leader with perseverance and ambition, he was a pioneer in winemaking and viticulture on the Leelanau Peninsula. Without his efforts over the past thirty years, the wine industry on the Leelanau Peninsula would not be where it is today.
We have reserved 200 cases of this 2020 Barrel-Fermented Chardonnay, to honor a great man, father, husband, and winemaker. We hope you are able enjoy every glass while giving Tribute to him yourself.

I’ve never been a big Chardonnay enthusiast, preferring a white more like Fish Town White, which I consider a gem of northern Michigan. But this is excellent and will be a big part of my spring win club purchase.
