Debbie Simpson: Owner – Tasting Room Manager Debbie was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in teaching with a focus on art. After marrying, both she and Bruce opened Good Harbor Vineyards. Debbie manages the tasting room and is the director of marketing for wine label design. She continues to seek out new and interesting designs from local artists for labels that truly capture the essence of the Leelanau Peninsula in both design and subject matter. |

Taylor Simpson: Director of Sales & Marketing Born and raised in Leelanau County, Taylor has a deep understanding of the wine business’ numerous facets. She graduated from The University of Michigan with two degrees, one in Latino Studies and the other in Spanish. After college, she worked for six years as a manager for one of the country’s largest wine distributors and became a Certified Wine Specialist. Her love of travel and wine has taken her to many of the world’s greatest wine regions where she worked with countless wineries and wine makers. She is working towards becoming a Sommelier, and her well-rounded expertise is immeasurable to Good Harbor. |

Sam Simpson: Winemaker and Vineyard & Operations Manager Raised in Leelanau County, Sam worked with his father in all aspects of the family business. He graduated from Michigan State University, where he studied viticulture and enology, and received a degree in finance. He spent eight months living in South Africa where he was able to travel extensively through the wine region and bring back a new world approach of wine making to Good Harbor. Along with his sister, he has been driven largely by his love of travel and wine to see many fine wine regions around the world. Sam will begin his training to become a Sommelier. |

David Hooper: Cellar-Master David brings an eclectic background to our organization. He has worked for the University of Minnesota studying endangered species, worked in pollution remediation, been a full time umpire, and guided outdoor tours on the Manitou Islands. His curiosity, intelligence, patience and hard work aid our quest in a forever improving the quality of our wine. |

Richard Flores – Assistant Farm Manager Richard is in charge of overseeing the harvesting of our cherry and grape operations as well as working heavily in orchard and vineyard maintenance. His quality fruit management has greatly improved our grapes that come to press and has drastically improved the quality of our wine. |

Rocky Flores- Head Farm Engineer
Rocky and his brother Richard Flores moved from Florida where they worked on their family farms growing cattle, strawberries, and cherries. He brings a wide and deep base knowledge to our operations heavily based in his skilled work in mechanics. His tireless work ethic and steady persona support the infrastructure that our farming is based upon. |
