GOOD HARBOR VINEYARDS’ CO-FOUNDER DEBBIE SIMPSON SHARES HER JOURNEY IN THE WINE INDUSTRY

More than 40 years ago, Debbie Simpson founded Good Harbor Vineyards with her husband and winemaker, Bruce Simpson. In 2009, her children, Taylor and Sam Simpson, returned home to help run the family farm and business. Even though she has turned over the reins, you can still find Debbie in the tasting room pouring wine and interacting with the customers - both new and those that have been coming back year after year to enjoy our award-winning wines.

In honor of Women’s History Month, Debbie chatted with Traverse City Tourism to give a little insight on what it is like to build a thriving business in Michigan as a woman and mother.
