Rosé wines have such a variety because they can be produced from such a large variety of red grapes and can also be blends of white grapes and red grapes.  There are no two rosés that are alike, which requires consumers to continue to explore new roses from all parts of the world every year.  Our 2021 Pinot Noir Rosé is a lighter style rosé with elegant acidity.  The fruit was monitored daily leading up to harvest to make sure it was harvested when the phenolics were to the winemakers specification.  This rosé is best served chilled and can be paired with a wide variety of cuisine from around the world.

Winemaker's Notes: The processing of this wine began with cold soaking the juice with half the skins of the fruit for this lot over night, then gently pressing the next day. This convoluted shooting from the hip was done with intention of extracting color and more complex fruit tones without losing the acidity needed to preserve the wine. It worked..this time

NOSE: Bright Cherry followed by lightly ripe strawberries fill the glass.

PALATE: The palate continues with the classic cherry flavors that Pinot Noir creates.

Vineyard Notes
The fruit for this wine comes from Benjamin's vineyard, which is the same vineyard where we grown the Pinot Noir for the sparkling Blanc de Noirs. This is one of the oldest Pinot Noir blocks. The majority of these vines are own-rooted which gives the fruit a stronger sense of terroir.
Production Notes
The fruit was crushed into our new tank press where it was sealed and cold soaked through the night in order to extract color and aromatics. After 16 hours, the wine was gently pressed off to get ready to ferment. This wine went through a cool one month fermentation.
Winemaker Notes
We bottled this wine early to maintain the freshest most vibrant fruit notes that are desired in a cool climate rose.

This is THE summer drink. It goes with everything, isn't sweet and it's incredibly refreshing. I bring it to every gathering, so I bought a TON to last me the summer for sushi & Thai food year round!

Have been a fan of this rose for years, and the 2021 bottling was the best. Rich and full, dry with a great finish that holds up well with nearly any food pairing.
