Pinot Grigio, also known as Pinot Gris, is a grape variety that thrives on the Leelanau Peninsula. Pinot Grigio belongs to the family of Pinots, which include Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Munier. Good Harbor has one of the largest planting of Pinot Grigio in the state of Michigan. We crop our fruit at a low tonnage per acre which helps attribute to the rich intense fruit flavors our wine possesses.

NOSE: Ripe pear and lemon rind are ever apparent upon smelling the first few swirls around the glass. Linger a little longer and you will pick up hints of the mineral components from the vineyard soil. This bottle is a true expression of Pinot Grigio from the Leelanau Peninsula.

PALATE: The complexities that occur on your palate from the beginning to end are sure to delight your senses. Our 2022 Pinot Grigio has a full mid-palate followed with balanced acidity and a wonderful long finish. The rich creamy texture of this wine is a result of careful vineyard management throughout the growing season. We suggest pairing this wine with light pastas, salads, and light meats.

Vineyard Notes
This vineyard has the oldest producing Pinot Grigio vines on our property.
Winemaker Notes
The skins soaked for one hour and fermented cool with four different yeast strains before being blended back together.
Food Pairing Notes
As a delicate, neutral wine, Pinot Grigio pairs best with light, fresh flavors. When trying to find a dish, think summery dishes like salads, chicken and seafood, as well as light pasta dishes and risottos.
